According to the data released by Ctrip, a renowned on-line travel agency of China, the sale of night flight air tickets during the Middle-Autumn Festival is soaring, with nearly 60 percent of the passengers choosing window seats, so they can better enjoy the moon, Beijing Daily reported.

As old Chinese saying goes, the moon is fuller on the day next to the Middle-Autumn Day. In 2015, the Middle-Autumn Day falls on Sept. 27, while the moon will be the fullest and brightest on Sept. 28, since on that day, the moon will move to the "lunar perigee".

The so-called "moon watching" flights refer to flights taking off from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Sept. 26 to Sept. 28. The passengers taking the flights can enjoy the full moon on the plane.

Ctrip data show that the sale of "moon watching" air tickets is booming, with more passengers selecting seats online and the window seats are the most popular.

There are even "moon watching tips" online: For the flight going south to north, please choose seats on east side, which will help you better enjoy the moon. For the flight going east to west, please choose the seats on the left side. Don't choose seats near the wings, the view may be shielded by the wings.
