"China has fully used the international peaceful environment and economic globalization to develop itself, meanwhile benefiting the world with its prosperity and stability, and it has become the driving force of global growth and peace."

As a participator and witness of Chinese diplomacy, vice foreign minister Fu Ying, a delegate to the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, shared her experiences on the promotion of China's position on the world arena in the past 10 years.

In the 10 years, China drove the economic development of its surrounding area forward by taking a series of effective measures both bilaterally and multilaterally.

Fu recalled that some people did not think highly of the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area when it was first proposed. But now, the total trade volume between China and ASEAN countries reached 360 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of nearly seven times.

Over the past 10 years, various wars and conflicts had happened in the world but Asia remained peaceful and stable as a whole.

China actively advocates dialogue, cooperation and peaceful settlement of disputes, and jointly maintained the overall peace with its neighboring countries by actions.
