BEIJING, March 10 (People’s Daily Online) - Danish Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen expressed his understanding of the Report on the Work of the Government (2015) delivered by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the ongoing two sessions.

"By pursuing green development, reiterating the tough stance on corruption and seeking to improve the people’s livelihood, the Chinese government is presenting a bright and promising future to its people. It also gives clear messages to the world in which direction China is heading," said Petersen.

"Measures like increasing loans to small and micro businesses and for the agricultural sector, as well as developing cultural and creative industries with a great vitality, also bode well for the Chinese economy’s future," the ambassador said.

The press conference is held at a time when Denmark and China are preparing to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations in May.

"Today the relationship between Denmark and China is, by quoting President Xi Jinping, at an all-time high and we hope we can engage more with China in all respects," the ambassador said.

During the briefing, the logo marking the celebration of 65th anniversary was inaugurated. With a dragon and a swan mingling to form a symmetric circle, it embodies a consolidated partnership with China opening to the West and Denmark looking to the East.
